Van Transportation

The church van leaves SBC at 9:30 A.M. sharp every Sunday.  If you would like a ride to HUDS, be at the church no later than 9:25 A.M.

Our Mission

The mission of Second Baptist Church is to give visible form to that faith and fellowship to which God has called His people. We shall fulfill this calling through corporate worship services, through a program of Christian Education and nurture through proclamation of the gospel by word. Our Christian education program will be accomplished through preaching, teaching, evangelizing, and missionary work.

SBC WOMEN IN HATS

The Pastor’s Aid club will publish a 2012 calendar that will feature the women of Second Baptist in their hats. Please place your order today so we will know how many calendars to print. These calendars are collector items and a part of our historical record. Please see Dea. Lena Bradley or Judge Mary Terrell more information.

OPERATIONAL BEAUTIFUL

The Women’s League invites you to join them at the Holloman Hall on the 1st and 2nd Saturday of each month at 1:00 p.m. to help beautify the Church.

Preaching Notes

 

During this quarter, our preaching focus will be on the Book of Romans.

Facts:

  • The Book of Romans is the sixth book in the New Testament.
  • Biblical scholars agree that it was composed by the Apostle Paul to explain that Salvation is offered through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Romans is considered Paul's longest epistle and is considered his "most important theological legacy and is one our books of Church doctrine"
