Easter is the holiest of days because through the resurrection, we are given a second chance. Before Christ’s sacrifice, access to God required offerings and inter-mediaries. But when Jesus died and rose again, the veil was torn. Because of the resurrection, we no longer need sacrifices on an altar or anyone to stand as an intercessor between God and us. Just think about that, darling.
Even in our humanness, even with our short-comings and sin, we can now approach a HOLY God directly. How extra-ordinary! And it does not stop there. When we spend time with God regularly, through prayer, stillness, scripture, and obedience, we gain access to the same divine power that operated in Jesus.
Yes, the same Spirit that raised Him up from the grave can dwell in us. That means power to love, power to endure, and power to rise again after every disappointment.
So this Easter, do not simply celebrate the empty tomb. Celebrate your access. Celebrate your second chance. Celebrate the power of God alive within you. He is risen. And through Him, so shall we rise. This amazing, all-powerful God loves you. It’s a promise, darling..
